Delay Publication Release

PubChem offers great flexibility in exactly when your data gets released.  Set an on-hold date for substance and bioassay submissions so that you can get assigned PubChem SID or AID identifiers, yet delay the public release of your data.  This might be useful for the following scenarios.

  • Time the release of your data with the publication of a paper
  • Time the release of data with the approval of a patent
  • Satisfy requirements of a grant administrator while completing follow-up studies

An on-hold date can be set up to one year in the future (extensions beyond one year are also available).  If anything changes with your release date, your PubChem on-hold date can be adjusted or removed.
